Waypoint placing
Hi!
Problem: If I add two waypoints for the same location the waypoint names becomes unreadable.
Solution: It would be great if different waypoint types/categories placed the text differently or if it would be possible to add my own waypoint icons (ie. "browse for icons" in the waypoint type/category).
Thank you!

Hi again!
It would also be great to be able to change the waypoint text orientation eg. 0, 45 or 90 degrees.
This would actually solve the text visibility problem when adding two waypoints for the same location.
Thank you!

Re: Waypoint placing
Please excuse the silly question, but why do you need two wpts at the same place?
Usually, the problem you mention disappears when you zoom in. At really high zoom levels, it is actually not easy to place two wpts so that the texts completely cover each other.
An ideal solution would be the one in Google Earth, where different icons (e.g. Picasa images) used to "jump apart" when you approaced them with the mouse arrow. But this is not the first thing I would ask for in Oruxmaps.

Hi, Anders, MB;
Added to my 'TODO' list, but with low priority

Re: Waypoint placing
I think I have come up with a solution to Anders' problem which does not require changes in the program: Simply add a lot of empty spaces before the second wpt. e.g., name the first one
WPT Fish
and the second
WPT Meat
and the third
WPT Vegetables
etc.
A more elegant solution would be to use a line shift for this, but line shifts turn up as empty rectangles when the wpt is displayed on the map. The line shifts could perhaps also cause compatibility issues when sharing tracks etc.
EDIT: The message is not displayed correctly - the forum program ignores my many empty spaces. But I hope my point is clear.

Waypoints placing
Hi!
My reason to use two waypoints at the same location is that I need a quick way to place persons at predefined locations. After I done this I want a simple overview of the locations and the person at each location. I don't know if this makes sense but it's very useful when hunting
To use spacing is not a good solution, but a line break could work)
Thanks.
