Hi all,

As part of the implementation of the INSPIRE directive, the Dutch government has put a variety of maps and mapping services online, under a Creative Commons license (CC-BY (-SA) 3.0 license). To do this they created several websites hosting the files and services. One of those is named PDOK (Dutch: Publieke Dienstverlening Op de Kaart - English: public services on the map) : PDOK [ <- link]

Topographic maps can be found in the download section under BRT (Basis Registratie Topografie - basic registry topography) : BRT [ <- link]
I have managed to download all geo-referenced TIFF's and convert them using Oruxmaps Desktop. But when I cross the edge of a tile, OruxMaps (on Android) now asks wich map (tile) to load.
Is it possible to create a multi-layered map (different zoom levels leading to loading either the 1:250000, 1:50000 or 1:25000 map) that covers the entire country (automatically going to the next tile), so I don't need to manually select the map (tile) to load next? Can this be done with Oruxmaps Desktop? If yes, how? If no, which software is recommended to use and how could I do this?

Via PDOK the 1:10000, 1:50000 and 1:250000 topographic maps are also offered as WMS, WMTS and TMS services. One of the places to find the URL of these services is on PDOK : map services PDOK [ <- link]
Off topic in this section of the forum I guess, but although I managed to create on online map (WMS) in Oruxmaps on Android, the map seems to be streched in longitudinal sense. (proportionally, with respect to latitude) Any thoughts as how to fix this?

Regards,

Jaap
