Android 2.1 ( Xperia X8 ) screen unlock

Hi,

I am using this wonderful application for hiking, trekking, and cycling.

When I use it for cycling I have a problem because when screen go off, I must tap on the button at the front of Xperia to bring screen on so I can see map and route.

To save battery I checked option to turn screen of after few seconds.

I saw little application for Android version 2.1 or higher called tap-tap ( http://www.appbrain.com/app/tap-tap-app/net.maicas.android.wsleep ), but Xperia X8 cannot be ugraded ( at least officially ) to version hugher than 2.1. Application offer option to turno screen on by passing with hand two time over sensor on fron of the phone, there is no need to touch the phone. Great!

It would be great if someone know application like that for Android 2.1. I suppose I am not the only one that have little discomfort like this.
