(3.5.20) Layars, map creator, what is this and how do I use it.

Exploring 3.5.20 and there is really a lot of new nice features. Good work! I have searched web and forum to find out more about layars and map creator that seems to be part of this new release but have not found any. Can anyone please explain how to use these features? Should it really be layars and not layers?

I really hope that any of these features could help me to do basic additions to maps (like adding pathways etc.)

Ok, I will answer my half of my own question since I found the mapcreator once I switched to online maps.
It's really a new nice integrated tool to create offline maps from online resources!!! GREAT!

But I still would be happy for some explanation on layars...
