2 small bugs (or not)
2 small bugs (or not)
first, the setting for zooming with volume keys is not used.
at least on my acer liquid/android 1.6 it ALWAYS zoom with volume keys.
other thing, i don't known if it's a bug or a memory limitation:
on my offline maps (made with oruxmaps desktop) when i zoom out (60% and below) orux doesn't fit the entire screen with the map, but shows only a piece of map in the center.
hope was useful

Hi, Alessand;
volume keys always do zooming; but you have two options (with one layer maps always do the same):
-->normal zoom (jump from one layer to the next)
-->digital zoom (keep the same layer, but do digital zoom)
The second problem is not a bug. It is a memory limitation. It is not possible to load all the tiles that should be displayed with zoom < 60% without reading/resizing them again, and this is a heavy task.
Zoom below 60% has sense only if you want to see entire a big route, because it is impossible to see the map details at this level of zoom.

Re: 2 small bugs (or not)
another important thing i noticed now:
i'm at home, near the sea.
3 different GPS apps running at the same time:
ORUX says i'm 52m over sea. -> WRONG of about 50m
GPS TEST app says i'm 4m over the sea -> RIGHT
GPS STATUS app says i'm 52m over sea -> WRONG of about 50m
i also noticed this thing in mountains : altitude is slightly bigger than the real one in orux.
so, there's something weird on gps use of some apps, including orux.
it's possible?
thanks

OruxMaps and GPS status displays WGS84 ellipsoid altitude. This value is provided by android gps.
This altitude is not the same as 'Geoid' altitude.
In next version I am going to add a correction system, that will show geoid altitude (the right altitude).
