[newbie] Importing routes; Offline maps

Hello

I'll be leaving for a week-end bike trip tomorrow. I have a couple of questions to make sure OruxMaps is the right tool:

1. I drew a route with http://ridewithgps.com/ that I'd like to import in OruxMaps. It supports the following formats: TCX Course, GPX Track (.gpx), GPX Route (.gpx), Cue sheet CSV File (.csv), and Google Earth (.kml).
   
   Which would you recommend?
   
   
2. The ride is mostly in the country-side, so Internet connection is out of the question. Can I download a whole region into the phone before leaving for the trip so the maps are available offline?
   
3. Bonus: In case I'd like to add some POIs for later reference, can it be done even while using offline maps?
