Unable to convert ozi-files

Desktop program is unable to convert my ozi files. Here is the simple world-file
Error message is: "Error while reading calibration coordinates"
I have the same problem with ozfx3 files. (Files are ok and working in oziexplorer"

There are a lot of problems with that Ozi map:
1.-OruxMapsDesktop can not read ozf2/3 image files. They are propietary OziExplorer, and you need to convert them to png/jpg before using with OruxMapsDesktop.
2.-This calibration file does not contain corner coordinates (MMPXY should be 0,0,...)
3.-It has an unknow projection for OruxMapsDesktop: "Longitude/Latitude".

I've the same problem. I have hiking maps in ozi format, and the Oruxmaps desktop displays the following message:
'An error occured while reading .map file'

I have a new version of OruxMapsDesktop that can read this Ozi file.

IMPORTANT: This Ozi map uses .tif images. If you have problems when OruxMapsDesktop tries to open the image ("An error occurred while reading image!" or similar) you have two solutions:
1.-convert .tif image to .png with gimp or similar, and change .map file (image extension from .tif to .png).
2.-install jai image IO tools:https://jai-imageio.dev.java.net/binary-builds.html

Thanks a lot for your help, your effort is very much appreciated.

Now it's working. The only 'problem' is that i've hundreds of small maps (with scale 1:250000). I can convert the image files in batch mode, but modifying the map files manually would be very long. Would it be complicated for you to support more image formats with your OruxMapsDesktop?

Another question: How do you know the projection? By looking at the map file, usually i can see the Datum, but i don't know always about the projection.

I can see it's a WGS 84 datum. But what about the projection?

Another question, what is the purpose of installing the jai image library? Is it used by the OruxMapsDesktop?

Sorry, i didn't see that the java library was used in order to support more image formats. I've installed it, but the OruxMapsDesktop still doesn't load the tiff image. Perhaps there is something wrong with Classpath or another thing. I'm investigating the problem.

I've installed the jai_imageio_windows-i586.jar in the /lib directory of OruxMapsDesktop, but when i click on the create map, it says:

But I do not know this projection (Latitude/Longitude). You can test with OruxMapsDesktop "Flat Earth". Try one map, and see how much precision you get.

If you install jai IO tools in your jre, OruxMapsDesktop will be able to understand .tiff format, and you will be able to use batch conversion tool (only with wgs84 and a projection that OruxMapsDesktop knows).

I have done some test this morning; after installing jai tools I was able to convert .tiff images with OruxMapsDesktop.

You need to install jai it tools in your jvm, not in OruxMapsDestop;

With Ozi "Latitude/Longitude" projection maps you have to select in OruxMapsDesktop "Flat Earth" projection.

Hi,
first off , great app!
I just started using it and it looks great.
I am trying to convert my oziexplorer files (ozf2,ozfx3) and have installed the jai tools both on my windows machine and my linux machine (every possible combination).
I can convert tiff files but still get the error when trying to convert ozi files , I even tried the basic world.ozf2 file that comes with the ozi installation, but cant convert.

Any ideas?

OK, reading through the forums I think the problem is the projection which is specific to Israeli UTM grid. And not the image format.
