How to use google maps directions?
Hey,
First of all, thanks for the really awesome application!
I've got a quick question, not sure if Orux Maps is the way to go for this,
but it would be nice as I am using it a lot:
I need waypoints and routes for a trip where I don't have access to 3G, so I wanted to cache it.
Two questions:
1. How would you use google maps to create a directions track, and show it in orux maps so I can navigate there?
Any way how I can easily display a track on a cached map offline would be great.
2. Is it somehow possible to quickly export waypoints from google maps or so on the phone, and import in Orux Maps?
Currently I think it can only be done by exporting online to .kml and importing it from the filesystem, right?
I would appreciate your help a lot
Thanks, Christoph

Hi;
OruxMaps is not a navigator; you can see gpx/kml files, but without directions.
Yes, you have to download the kml to the sdcard, then open it with OruxMaps.

Re: How to use google maps directions?
Hi, and thanks for the reply
I know of course that it has no directions support, I meant download the google maps route as a route actually.
And I also saw that this works perfectly when importing the .kml of the google maps directions "as route"
Awesome!
